Two Wii games from the MySims series are getting re-released on Switch
EA is re-releasing two games from the MySims series.
MySims: Cozy Bundle offers HD versions of MySims and MySims Kingdom, both of which were originally released on the Wii.
The bundle will be available on the Switch on November 19, and will cost $39.99 / £34.99.
The original MySims was released on the Wii in September 2007 and was designed to be a spin-off of the main Sims franchise.
Offering a cuter look and giving players direct control of their created character, the game tasks them with redeveloping a rundown town into a thriving community.
Players can build objects in their town by collecting blueprints, and by befriending each of the 80 villagers in the town they can unlock exclusive blueprints.
The sequel, MySims Kingdom, was released on the Wii in October 2008 and replaced the village setting with a medieval kingdom.
The player becomes a Wandolier, who uses a magic wand to carry out tasks for the King in an attempt to restore the kingdom to its former glory.
The MySims series would go on to spawn a further four games – MySims Party, MySims Racing and MySims Agents (all in 2009), and MySims Sky Heroes in 2010.
The main Sims series hasn’t had a new entry since The Sims 4, which was released ten years ago and was made free-to-play in 2022.
The fifth game, codenamed Project Rene, is currently in development.
