This Modular PS5 Controller Is On Sale For Its Lowest Price Yet
The Victrix Pro BFG is the most versatile controller available for PS5. If you’re interested in trying a pro-style gamepad with all the bells and whistles, the Pro BFG is definitely worth considering. That’s especially the case this week, as Target is selling the Pro BFG for $144 (was $180) as part of the retailer’s Circle Week sale. To take advantage of this offer, you simply need to sign up for a free Target Circle rewards account. The Pro BFG offers wireless and wired connectivities on PS5, PS4, and PC.
The Pro BFG’s main claim to fame is its modular design, as it allows for custom configurations. It has a reversible left module, standard right module, six-button fight pad module, four interchangeable sticks, three different D-pads, and four gates to choose from. On top of that, it has clutch triggers with five trigger stops, a hair-trigger mode, and four customizable rear buttons.
Being able to play with aligned or offset sticks is a great feature, and swapping modules only takes a minute. All of the spare swappable pieces are stored neatly inside the Pro BFG’s included hardshell carrying case.
Officially licensed by Sony, the version on sale combines a matte white finish with lines of pastel purple to create a striking effect. Our own testing found it to be a strong competitor to the likes of the PlayStation DualSense Edge or an Xbox Elite Series 2 controller thanks to its versatile design.
“With excellent ergonomics and arguably unparalleled versatility thanks to its modular design, the Victrix Pro BFG is definitely worth a hard look if you’re in the market for a competitive gamepad or simply prefer the form factor of Xbox controllers,” Steven Petite wrote in GameSpot’s Victrix Pro BFG review.
If you’re in need of an Xbox or PC controller, you should also check out Target’s offers on officially licensed wireless controllers. Target also has these on sale at a greatly reduced price, with one of the standout examples being the Dream Vapor Xbox controller for only $42 if you’re a Target Circle member. Alternatively, you can grab an Xbox Elite Series 2 Core controller for $93.59 (was $140) or the standard Elite Series 2 for $144.
