The sequel to Sunsoft’s cult NES game Ufouria is coming to the west in March

The sequel to cult NES platformer Ufouria: The Sega is getting a western release.

Ufouria: The Saga 2 is being developed by the newly reformed Sunsoft, and is set for release in its native Japan on February 29.

However, Red Art Games has announced a new partnership with Sunsoft, which will see the publisher releasing Ufouria: The Saga 2 worldwide on March 1, just one day after its Japanese release.

The game will launch digital-only for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch and Steam, at a price of $24.99/€24.99.

A physical release will then follow in Q3 2024, priced at $39.99/€39.99.

Based on the original Ufouria (which would become the first game in Sunsoft’s Hebereke series), the sequel has protagonist Hebe exploring a world that looks like it’s made out of crafts.
