The Game Awards Will Have Some “Holy Sh*t” Moments, Apparently
The Game Awards kick off tomorrow night, and according to Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, people tuning in can brace themselves for at least two “holy sh*t” moments during the show. Appearing on Kinda Funny Games Daily, Schreier was asked by host Tim Gettys about the possibility of big announcements, to which he hinted at two massive games being shown off.
“There are at least two things that will make you guys react [and] say ‘holy sh*it, I can’t believe it’s here,'” Schreier said (via VGC).
The Game Awards livestream will begin at 4:30 PM PT / 7:30 PM ET on December 12, and so far, Gearbox Software boss Randy Pitchford has confirmed that a new trailer for Borderlands 4 will be revealed. This will be the first look at the gameplay for the looter-shooter, and it’ll also feature an original CG-animated sequence.
Beyond that, details on the show have been kept locked up tight, but you can expect the usual world premieres, new trailers, and a musical performance by The Game Awards Orchestra. Schreier also mentioned that there’ll be a few teasers for a few games that won’t be out until 2026 at the earliest.
If you’re interested in watching, GameSpot is partnering up with The Game Awards to host a pre-show that’ll be full of exclusive content. This will run for two hours, starting at 2:30 PM PT / 5.30 PM ET.
