Star Wars Outlaws will release in ‘late 2024’, according to Disney post

Ubisoft’s open-world Star Wars game, Star Wars Outlaws, will be released in late 2024.

That’s according to a Disney Parks blog post (spotted by IGN), which quietly listed the release window for the Ubisoft Massive title. Previously, the game was only confirmed to be released sometime in 2024.

“Star Wars Outlaws, the open-world Star Wars game, is set to release late this year,” the post reads.

“The game lets you explore distinct planets across the galaxy, both iconic and new. You can risk it all as Kay Vess, an emerging scoundrel seeking freedom and the means to start a new life, along with her companion Nix. If you’re willing to take the risk, the galaxy is full of opportunity.”

It was reported last May, before Star Wars Outlaws was officially revealed, that Ubisoft planned to release its open-world Star Wars game in early 2024.

However, in October, Ubisoft said it had delayed a “large game” that it was previously planning to release by the end of March 2024. Although it didn’t specifically name the game, it was believed that it was referring to Star Wars Outlaws.

VGC recently covered Star Wars Outlaws in a 2024 preview.

“Will Ubisoft’s Star Wars adventure manage to continue the streak of great Star Wars games, or will it fall into the traps that have so homogenized the Star Wars cinematic output as of late?”
