Red Dead Redemption could finally be coming to PC, datamine suggests

Rockstar could be preparing to announce Red Dead Redemption for PC.

That’s according to reputable dataminer Tez2, who took to X on Monday to share a screenshot of code suggesting the announcement of a PC port may be imminent.

“Journey across the sprawling expanses of the American West and Mexico in Red Dead Redemption, and its zombie-horror companion, Undead Nightmare now playable on PC,” it reads.

Asked where it originated, Tez2 said the marketing strings were added to Rockstar’s launcher site file in an update today.

Red Dead Redemption will celebrate the 14th anniversary of its release this week.

The game was first released for PS3 and Xbox 360 on May 18, 2010, before hitting PS4 and Nintendo Switch in August 2023.

The title is also available on current Xbox systems, due to the availability of the Xbox 360 version on the Xbox store. Both the Xbox One and the Xbox Series X/S generations of consoles can play the 360 version via backwards compatibility.
