PlayStation announces 30th Anniversary Collection, including grey PS5 and PS5 Pro

Sony has announced a PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection of consoles, including a grey PS5 Digital and PS5 Pro.

The collection will include special 30th Anniversary editions of the PlayStation 5 Pro and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition.

The 30th Anniversary PS5 Digital Edition will include a console coloured like the original PlayStation along with a matching DualSense, a console cover for the Disc Drive (which is still sold separately), a vertical stand, a poster (1 of 30 possible designers), an “original PlayStation-style cable connector housing”, four PlayStation Shapes cable ties, a sticker and a paperclip.

The 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro will include the same accessories, but the DualSense is replaced with a DualSense Edge and a DualSense Charging Station.

Sony says each 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro will have a number on it, and the console will be limited to 12,300 units globally.

The 30th Anniversary DualSense controller and DualSense Edge controller will also be available separately, as will a 30th Anniversary version of the PlayStation Portal with PS1-style controller handles.

Pre-orders for the 30th Anniversary Collection will start on September 26, and the collection will be released on November 21. Prices have yet to be confirmed.

In regions where PlayStation Direct is available, players with a PlayStation Network account will be able to pre-order the PS5 Pro, Portal and DualSense Edge from there. In regions where it isn’t, they can pre-order from participating retailers.

The PS5 Digital Edition and DualSense Wireless Controller will be available on both PlayStation Direct and participating retailers.
