Next week’s free Epic Games Store title has leaked

Next week’s free Epic Games Store title has leaked ahead of an official announcement on Thursday.

According to highly reliable dataminer billbil-kun, puzzle game Infinifactory will be free to claim from Epic’s PC marketplace from January 25 until February 1.

Sail Forth, which lets players navigate “a fleet of customizable ships across an ocean whose ancient depths have swallowed the key to the mysterious past”, is free to claim from the Epic Games Store until 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm BST today.

It will then be replaced by Love, “a short and addictively challenging platformer with a minimalist design”. At the same time, Epic will confirm the identity of next week’s free title.

“Infinifactory is a sandbox puzzle game by Zachtronics, the creators of SpaceChem and Infiniminer,” according to official product listings for next week’s expected freebie. “Build factories that assemble products for your alien overlords, and try not to die in the process.”

The game is normally priced at $24.99 / £20.99 on Steam and GOG, although it’s currently available for half that price on the latter.

On Wednesday, Harmonix announced plans to end eight years of weekly Rock Band 4 DLC updates next week, although all other live services for the game will continue as normal.

“If you are a fan of the rhythm game category, Fortnite Festival is the place to be; and with support for RB4 instruments coming, this is not the time to hang up your guitars just yet,” said Epic Games senior product manager Daniel Sussman.
