Macaulay Culkin joining season 2 of Amazon’s Fallout show

Macaulay Culkin has reportedly joined the cast of Amazon‘s Fallout TV show.

According to Deadline, citing sources familiar with the matter, the actor, best known for his role in the Home Alone series, will join the series when it returns for its second season.

Deadline’s source says Culkin is “said to be playing a crazy genius-type character”.

Fallout’s first season was released earlier this year. It scored a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 94% and an audience score of 90%.

The first season, which stars Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, and Aaron Moten, was shot mostly in New York, with some additional filming taking place in Utah.

“Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have,” reads an official description of the show.

“200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them.”

No timeframe was given for the production or release of the second season of Fallout.

The success of the Fallout TV show led to a massive increase in sales of the series.
