Life-Size M3gan Doll Just Stands There, But Won’t Try To Kill You

The 2022 horror movie M3gan features a robotic doll who kills people, and now you can own a life-size replica. This doll just stands there and doesn’t come to life and kill people (we hope).

This 1:1 replica was made using “film-used” digital files from the movie to help make it look as accurate as possible. The eyes and arms move, and she has human-like hair, too. Her clothes and shoes are also modeled after her appearance in the film.

She stands about 55 inches tall, which is roughly 4.5 feet. It’s an officially licensed product made by NECA in partnership with M3gan movie studio Universal Pictures.

Preorders are available now at what’s described as an “introductory” price of $495. That wording suggests the price could increase later on. Check out some images of the M3gan doll above, but note that they depict a prototype of the doll and not necessarily the final product.

Following the success of M3gan, Universal and Blumhouse are moving ahead with a sequel, M3gan 2.0, which was recently delayed from January 2025 to May 2025. Akela Cooper, who wrote the original film, is coming back to write the sequel, while director Gerard Johnstone is returning as well.

M3gan was a surprise hit when it released in 2023. The movie starred Amie Donald as the body of the doll; Jenna Davis voiced her. The concept was that a company created a robot doll meant to befriend and protect a child, but obviously things go very badly and the doll rises up and goes on a killing spree.

Universal promoted the movie with an outrageous marketing campaign where actors dressed as M3gan went to football games and the Empire State Building and did M3gan’s creepy dance.

M3gan earned $180 million at the box office worldwide and is now streaming on Prime Video.
