Lego Despicable Me 4 Sets Include Zany Minions And A Pretty Unsettling Gru Figure
Despicable Me 4 hits theaters on July 3, and a bunch of new Lego sets are now available ahead of its release. Some of these are fairly big builds inching close to 1,000 pieces, while others barely clock in over 100 pieces–so whether you’re a veteran builder or brand-new to Lego, you should have no problem finding something that fits your (or your kid’s) skill level. Keep in mind that some of these are already selling out at select retailers, so consider checking them out soon if you’re interested.
Here’s a look at the four Despicable Me 4 Lego sets up for grabs. These Despicable Me 4 sets are far from the only new Lego sets that launched on May 1. Lego also released an adorable Mood Cubes set based on Pixar’s Inside Out 2. Star Wars fans should also check out the new sets released ahead of Star Wars Day, including the Ultimate Collector Series TIE Interceptor.

Piece together Gru’s quirky mansion with this large building set. Plenty of cool details and accessories are included with the set, including a red couch, fireplace, and rocket-style bedroom. Rounding out the package are six minifigures and buildable Minions.

Snap together a posable Gru figure along with a bunch of Minions. This is essentially a piece of home décor, though both Gru and the Minions are posable, allowing you to rearrange them as you see fit. The Minion figures do a great job showing off their wide-range of expressions, while the Gru figure has an appropriately unsettling smile. The poor guy just has a hard time looking happy.

This smaller set consists of less than 400 pieces, making it a great choice for new builders. It includes a 2-in-1 build that converts from a party bus to a party playset, with the side of the bus opening up to reveal a bunch of cool accessories inside.

The smallest Lego set of the bunch includes four Minions, a small car toy, and heaps of accessories for them to hold. It’s also the cheapest at $25–though some retailers are already selling out, so move fast if you’re interested.
