Jimmy Kimmel Reunites The Barbie Cast For The Oscars
With the Oscars slowly approaching, host Jimmy Kimmel decided to reunite some of the cast of Barbie in a video to promote the award show next month in March.
A nearly five-minute video was uploaded to the official Jimmy Kimmel Live YouTube channel. The video opens with Barbie’s narrator, Helen Mirren, explaining how Kimmel is lost while he’s in Barbie Land (a location based on the film). As the video goes on, Kimmel runs into Kate McKinnon’s Weird Barbie, and the two embark on a trip similar to Margot Robbie’s trip in the film.
Instead of visiting fun locations, the two visit a series of locations based on various nominated films, which include Poor Things, Oppenheimer, The Holdovers, and much more. By the end of the video, Ryan Gosling’s Ken and America Ferrera’s Gloria also appear. The video even pokes fun at a few Hollywood actors and a trend of winners visiting In-N-Out after the show.
The 96th Academy Awards will be live on ABC at 7 PM ET / 4 PM PT on Sunday, March 10. Some award nominations include Cillian Murphy for Best Actor in Oppenheimer and Ryan Gosling as Best Supporting Actor in Barbie.
