Gameplay footage of Valve’s ‘next major title’ has seemingly leaked
Gameplay footage of an unannounced Valve game has seemingly leaked.
Images of the game, which is reportedly a 6v6 third-person shooter called Deadlock, emerged last week alongside the first details.
According to well informed Valve enthusiast Tyler McVicker, hundreds of people are currently playtesting the title in closed alpha, which is where the video below seemingly originated from.
“This is meant to be Valve’s next major competitive game, the next Counter-Strike, the next Dota,” he said. “It’s hero-based, it’s class-based, it’s very personality-driven.
“This is Valve attempting to bring together all of their community under one umbrella.”

The leaked video shows a character traversing the map using a handrail system reminiscent of BioShock Infinite’s Sky-Line, before running around and firing off their weapon.
It then provides a look at the character selection screen, which includes 19 playable heroes.
According to McVicker, the game has been in development since 2018, features tower defence mechanics and has a fantasy setting mixed with steampunk.
Valve co-founder and CEO Gabe Newell said in 2021 that the company had multiple games in development and was keen to make more single-player experiences following Half-Life Alyx’s release the previous year.
The company’s most recent release was last year’s multiplayer tactical FPS Counter-Strike 2.
