Fortnite Festival has added support for Rock Band 4 guitar controllers
The latest Fortnite Festival update has finally added support for Rock Band 4 guitar controllers.
Developed by Rock Band studio Harmonix, which Epic Games acquired in 2021, Fortnite Festival is a free-to-play music game which lets players perform in a band with friends or play solo with tracks from popular artists.
Players have eagerly been awaiting support for guitar controllers since the free-to-play rhythm game launched in December alongside two other live service experiences, Fortnite Lego and Fortnite: Rocket Racing.
“You can now use your Rock Band 4 guitar controllers to go all out on new Pro Lead and Pro Bass song parts on the Main Stage on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC,” Epic said. “Check out the table below to see whether your controller is supported with the launch of Season 3.”
Following in the footsteps of The Weeknd and Lady Gaga, singer-songwriter Billie Eilish is Fortnite Festival’s third featured artist.
Upcoming featured artists may include Metallica and Snoop Dogg. They were recently listed on what’s claimed to be a leaked Fortnite content roadmap for 2024, which also featured Eilish prior to official confirmation that she was coming to the game.
Epic has today also introduced a new Fortnite battle royale setting that lets players toggle visibility on four emotes that it said “can sometimes feel a bit overly confrontational”.
Samus Aran missed out on an appearance in Fortnite because Nintendo wanted the character to be exclusive to the Switch version of the game, according to a new interview with Epic’s former chief creative officer.
