Fallout 4’s delayed current gen upgrade is coming this month

Fallout 4’s long-awaited current generation upgrade will be released this month.

The update will be released for Xbox Series X/S and PS5 on April 25.

Previously scheduled to arrive last year, it will include performance and quality mode settings, as well as stability improvements and fixes.

“Experience up to 60 FPS and increased resolution,” reads Bethesda‘s blog post about the upgrade.

Fallout 4 players on PS4 and Xbox One will also receive a free update with stability improvements, login and quest fixes, according to Bethesda.

And PC players will receive a free update which includes widescreen and ultra-widescreen support, as well as fixes to the Creation Kit. The game will be Steam Deck verified too.

Fallout 4 will also be released on Epic Games Store at this time.

Amazon‘s Fallout live-action series premiered this week. Variety recently reported that filming for the second season will see production move to California as part of a tax incentive.

The California Film Commission announced this week that it awarded $152 million in tax incentives to multiple shows, with Fallout being the largest.

The show’s first season, which stars Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, and Aaron Moten, was shot mostly in New York, with some additional filming taking place in Utah.
