Fallout 4 patch featuring new graphics options coming next week


Fallout 4 will receive another patch on all consoles, this time focussing on graphical options.

Bethesda Game Studios posted to X to announce the update, which will “include new options for graphics and performance settings as well as further fixes and improvements.”

The update will be available on Monday.

Fallout 4 received its long-awaited next-gen update last month, allowing players who own the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game to upgrade to native PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions for free.

However, when the update was released, players quickly pointed out several issues on both console and PC with the update.

This led to Bethesda acknowledging the issues and PC players creating mods for the game, which stripped the game’s Steam client of this update.

Another issue saw players who’d previously claimed the PS4 version of the game via PlayStation Plus unable to upgrade to the PS5 version, however that issue has now been resolved according to Bethesda.

Fallout director Todd Howard said recently that Bethesda isn’t ruling out partnering with external developers on future games as it looks to find solutions to increase its output.

Amazon that its Fallout TV show attracted 65 million viewers in its first 16 days, making it the second most-watched show on its streaming platform behind The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power, according to Variety.
