Ex-Mythic Entertainment devs announce airship survival RPG Echoes of Elysium

Loric Games has announced its debut title, Echoes of Elysium, an airship survival RPG “set in the heavens of mythical ancient Greece”.

The game will be released on Steam, where it’s now available to wishlist and is listed as “coming soon”. No other platforms have been confirmed.

“An aerial exploration and survival game, set in the procedural world of Elysium,” reads an official description for the game. “Fire up the engines and take to the skies in your hand-crafted fleet of airships. Mechanical wonders clash with ancient mysteries in an untamed paradise.”

Northern Virginia-based Loric Games was founded in 2022 by former Mythic Entertainment veterans Brian Johnson, Ray Soto, and Mythic’s co-founder Rob Denton.

During their time at Mythic and BioWare, the trio worked together on the likes of Ultima Online, Dark Age of Camelot, Warhammer Online, and Star Wars: The Old Republic.

“We’re building a game that’s more than just eating berries, punching trees, and building thatch huts,” Johnson said at the time. “We all love playing games with heroic stories. Through our long history of developing games, we’ve bought into the idea that good storytelling can set a game apart. The survival experience can be much more impactful with the right blend of story and open-world gameplay mechanics.”
