Doom Anthology Launches Today – In Stock At Amazon For PC, PS5, Xbox, And PC
Doom Anthology is now available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The $80 compilation comes with six Doom games, a replica BFG collectible, and a steelbook case. Announced in August, Doom Anthology initially sold out at Amazon when preorders began, but it’s available for all platforms on launch day.
The same couldn’t be said for Fallout’s Special Anthology Edition, a similar compilation that launched in February alongside a bunch of Amazon-exclusive Fallout merch ahead of Prime Video’s popular TV adaption. Fallout Anthology Edition sold out prior to its February release, and has only been available from resellers ever since.
Unfortunately, you’ll need to use the steelbook case to store something other than Doom Anthology, as this collection is digital. Doom Anthology comes with a voucher that can be redeemed on Steam, PlayStation Store, Xbox Store.

$80
The BFG replica is probably the most exciting inclusion in Doom Anthology for longtime fans. The iconic gun has been recreated as a five-inch collectible with LED lights and a display stand. The steelbook case is rather plain compared to the eye-catching box art typically featured in Doom releases.
Some fans may appreciate the understated look of the case, but most probably won’t be pleased about the case not actually including a disc or cartridge. This collection is entirely digital, so you’ll have to find something else to store inside it. Doom Anthology comes with a voucher that can be redeemed on Steam, PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, or Nintendo Switch eShop.
Doom Anthology comes with the following six games:
- Doom (1993)
- Doom II
- Doom 64
- Doom 3
- Doom (2016)
- Doom Eternal Deluxe Edition
Since it’s a digital-only collection, the PlayStation edition is for PS5 and PS4, and the Xbox version has Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One versions. Even though Microsoft owns id Software’s parent company ZeniMax Media, the PC version includes a Steam key, not a Microsoft Store key.
All six of the Doom games in this collection are included with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription on Xbox and PC. You can get 3-Month Game Pass Ultimate prepaid codes for only $36.49 from Woot right now.
Nevertheless, Doom Anthology offers a convenient way to play the core entries in the series on modern platforms. With Doom: The Dark Ages, a prequel to the 2016 reboot, scheduled to launch in 2025, it’s a good time to revisit both of the excellent contemporary Doom games.
But the older Doom games are definitely worth your time in 2024, too. Doom (1993) and Doom II were rereleased the same day Doom Anthology was revealed. Existing owners, including those who buy this collection, can upgrade for free. These enhanced editions can be played in 4K resolution at 120fps on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. They also feature a bevy of extra content, including a brand-new Doom II campaign episode, 26 new multiplayer maps, and more. Plus, both games now have cross-play for deathmatch and missions. The pair now boast 43 deathmatch maps and a staggering 187 mission maps.
The original Doom has another exciting new release on the horizon. Limited Run Games is making a new physical edition of the 1995 Super Nintendo port. It’ll be available in 2025 in standard and collector’s edition formats, each of which will come with a poster and instruction booklet. Limited Run’s SNES cartridge release of Doom isn’t available to order yet, but you’ll find it here when it goes live.
