Batman: Arkham Shadow announced for VR ahead of late 2024 release
The next game in the Batman: Arkham franchise has been announced for VR.
Batman: Arkham Shadow, developed by Camouflaj and Oculus Studios, will be revealed in full this June. It will be released in late 2024 exclusively for Meta Quest 3.
“Evil stalks the streets. Gotham City is in danger. And you’re the only one who can save it,” reads an official description.

The game will be unveiled during Summer Game Fest Live, which is taking place on June 7 at 2pm PT/ 10pm UK.
It’s currently unclear if the game will follow the canon of the Batman: Arkham series developed by Rocksteady.
This is the second VR game to feature the Batman: Arkham name, after Batman: Arkham VR, which was released alongside the original PlayStation VR headset.
Last week Meta announced that it’s opening up Meta Horizon OS, the operating system that powers its Quest headsets, to third-party hardware makers.
Xbox, Lenovo and Asus are among the first partners set to develop new mixed reality devices for different use cases.
“Xbox and Meta teamed up last year to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) to Meta Quest, letting people play Xbox games on a large 2D virtual screen in mixed reality. Now, we’re working together again to create a limited-edition Meta Quest, inspired by Xbox,” Meta said.
