Alan Wake 2’s anniversary update adds highly requested features

Remedy has announced plans to release a significant Alan Wake 2 update on Tuesday.

The game’s free Anniversary Update will launch on October 22, alongside the physical version of the game and its second expansion, The Lake House.

Remedy said the update features changes and improvements that have frequently been requested by the community.

They include the ability to invert the X (horizontal) axis on mouse and controller, and not just the Y (vertical) axis.

On PS5, the update adds gyro aiming (motion controls) support for the DualSense controller, while haptics support, which is currently limited to weapons, will be extended to healing items and throwables.
