Modern Warfare 3’s latest free trial is live and includes new Season 3 content

Activision has launched Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3’s third free multiplayer trial.

Running until April 8 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST, it arrives following this week’s release of the game’s Season 3 update.

Players can sample a portion of the game’s multiplayer offering, while there’s full access to Modern Warfare Zombies.

Participants can play new Season 3 multiplayer map Emergency, plus five other 6v6 maps including Das Haus, Stash House, and Rust.

These are playable across five core modes, including Capture the Flag, which is new to Season 3.

Also playable is the limited time mode Hordepoint, which remixes Hardpoint with the addition of zombies on reskinned maps like Tetanus, Satan’s Quarry, and Skidgrow.

Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 3 launched on Wednesday. On the multiplayer front, it includes six new core 6v6 maps, with four available at launch and two arriving mid-season.

Zombies added a new story mission, a fresh Dark Aether Rift, and a new Warlord in the form of artillery and demolitions expert Rainmaker.

Warzone Season 3’s headline addition is the return of fan favourite map Rebirth Island alongside Resurgence mode, which let players respawn as long as one of their teammates is still alive.
