Baldur’s Gate 3 physical edition for consoles has been delayed

Larian Studios has delayed the physical edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 for consoles.

While the PC version has now begun shipping, meaning it’s hit its planned Q1 launch window, Larian said the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions have been held up by production issues.

“PC Deluxe Edition are now shipping, with console editions expected to begin shipping between April and May,” it said. “We wanted to get the console versions into the hands of players earlier, however, production issues have meant that shipping dates have been pushed back slightly.

“Those waiting for their Xbox version will now receive 4 physical discs, rather than the 3 originally planned, so that we can provide the full game as a physical copy. (Yes, it is that big).

The physical Deluxe Edition of the game was announced in November, when Larian said it would come on three discs for Xbox Series X, two discs for PS5, and one disc containing a CD key and installer for PC.
