Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 2 Reloaded has been detailed

Activision has detailed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 2 Reloaded.

Launching on March 6 at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST / 6pm CEST across all platforms, the mid-season update features new multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone content.

On the multiplayer front, new remastered 6v6 map Das Haus moves the action from its previous training facility setting to the top of a skyscraper.

The Vortex: Decay’s Realm playlist will also include new Terminal and Skidrow map variants playable across Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed and Hardpoint.

And there will be two new multiplayer game modes, titled Bounty and Juggermosh. The former is a Team Deathmatch-style mode in which players get extra points for taking out the top performing player on the opposing team.

The latter sees “players slug it out as imposing Juggernauts clad in Space Marines skins inspired by the Warhammer 40,000 universe, fully viewable in third-person perspective for the entire match, occurring across Kill Confirmed and Domination modes”.

Zombies is getting a new story mission and a new Dark Aether Rift, while a fresh Warlord will enter the Exclusion Zone in the form of chemical warfare specialist Keres.

There are also several new schematics. “Fire and keep on firing with the Mags of Holding. Summon an otherworldly two-wheeler with the Blood Burner Key. Expand your squad with the V-R11 Wonder Weapon.”

Warzone highlights include a new mobile point of interest called Research Vessel, which circle’s Fortune’s Keep’s shoreline, and new Killstreak Bunker Buster, which lets players call in a missile strike to clear out buildings housing entrenched enemies. Portable Decontamination Station is a new Field Upgrade that lets players create a safe zone in the gas.

The Reloaded update will also introduce two new weapons. The Soulrender is billed as “a ceremonial blade capable of razor-sharp cuts and deadly melee action in close-quarters combat”, while the SOA Subverter Battle Rifle “dominates at mid to longer ranges thanks to a low rate of fire and predictable recoil”.

New store offerings will include Warhammer 40,000, Godzilla x Kong and Dune bundles.
