Brock Lesnar removed from cover of WWE 2K24 40 Years of WrestleMania Edition

Brock Lesnar has been removed from the WWE 2K24 Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition cover after being linked to sexual misconduct allegations against former WWE boss Vince McMahon.

McMahon quit the organisation after ex-WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit accusing him and a former executive of sexually assaulting and trafficking her to entice wrestling talent.

In the suit, Grant alleged that McMahon directed her to create explicit photos for a WWE star he was trying to re-sign.

While not explicitly named in the complaint, people said to be familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal that the wrestler in question was Lesnar, who was also recently removed from Top Trumps-style game WWE SuperCard and whose WWE status is currently up in the air.

Lesnar no longer appears on the game’s cover

Lesnar featured prominently on the original WWE 2K24 Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition cover (pictured, top), but in the updated version John Cena’s been made bigger to cover his removal.

WWE 2K24 is set to celebrate the anniversary of WWE’s biggest event with a series of matches recreating the biggest moments from WrestleMania.

Whether Lesnar’s still going to be included in the game is uncertain, but VGC has contacted 2K for comment on this story and will update it should we receive a response

WWE 2K24 will be released on March 8 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
