WWE 2K24 will be released in March, celebrates 40 years of WrestleMania


2K Sports has officially announced WWE 2K24.

The latest edition of the WWE 2K series will be released on March 8, and will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The game will feature Cody Rhodes on the front cover of the Standard Edition, while the Deluxe Edition will feature Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley.

A special 40 Years of WrestleMania edition will feature original artwork featuring some of the biggest names in WWE history including The Rock, The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

WWE 2K24’s main Showcase mode will celebrate WrestleMania, allowing players to recreate some of the best matches from the event’s 40-year history, unlocking new content in the process.

Four new match types will be added – Special Guest Referee, Ambulance Match, Casket Match and Gauntlet Match – and the backstage area will now feature new interactive features like a working elevator and breakable Control Room glass.

Improvements made to the gameplay include ‘Super Finishers’, the ability to dive onto multiple opponents outside the ring, double title matches and the ability to throw weapons, as well as the addition of seven real WWE referees.

The Standard Edition of WWE 2K24 will cost $59.99 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, and $69.99 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S.

The Deluxe Edition costs $99.99 and includes a Season Pass providing access to all five post-launch DLC packs, the MyRise Mega Boost and SuperCharger, gold Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair MyFaction cards and alternate attires for Rhea and Bianca.

Finally, the 40 Years of WrestleMania Edition costs $119.99 and includes all the above content plus an extra pack with new attires for “Macho King” Randy Savage (WrestleMania 6), Rey Mysterio (WrestleMania 22), Triple H (WrestleMania 30), Charlotte Flair (WrestleMania 33), and Rhea Ripley (WrestleMania 36), plus gold MyFaction cards for each.

Players who pre-order any edition will get the Nightmare Family Pack, which includes two alternate versions of Cody Rhodes (Undashing and Stardust), the 1976 version of Dusty Rhodes and Superstar Billy Graham.

All digital pre-orders for the game will also include the Standard Edition of WWE 2K23, allowing players to play the current game while they wait for its successor to arrive.
