Nintendo Adds Another Donkey Kong Game To Switch Online, And It’s Still Not DK 64

Just like that, Nintendo has brought the entire Donkey Kong Land trilogy to Switch Online. Today, Donkey Kong Land 3 has (ahem) landed on the subscription service, though people are still pounding the table for Donkey Kong 64. Sorry: The DK Rap will have to wait.

Donkey Kong Land 3 originally released in 1997 for Game Boy. The side-scrolling title sees Dixie and Kiddy Kong in the spotlight as they search for the Lost World. However, like Donkey Kong and Diddy before them, they’ll have to deal with the Kremlings throughout 36 levels.

Not even two weeks ago, Nintendo brought Donkey Kong Land to Switch Online. Then, last week, Donkey Kong Land 2 hit the subscription service. Looking ahead, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is set to launch next month on Switch, serving as a remaster of the Wii title.

Nintendo has been bringing new games to the Switch Online catalog at a pretty rapid clip recently. Tetris for NES is coming to the subscription service on December 12, and three Sega Genesis titles arrived on Switch Online + Expansion Pack last week.

Switch Online costs $20 a year for individuals, while the premium Expansion Pack option goes for $50 annually. The basic tier offers access to the Game Boy library–including the Donkey Kong Land trilogy–while the Expansion Pack tier offers up Genesis titles as well as Nintendo 64 games (plus more).
