A Civilization VII gameplay showcase is coming later this month


A gameplay showcase for Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is coming later this month, 2K has confirmed.

The first gameplay footage will be shown during the Opening Night Live show at Gamescom, which starts at 11am PT / 4pm ET / 7pm BST on August 20.

Shortly after Opening Night Live finishes, 2K and developer Firaxis will host their own Gameplay Showcase video on the Firaxis Twitch channel and the official Civilization YouTube channel.

This Showcase will starts at 1.30pm PT / 6.30pm ET / 9.30pm BST on August 20 and will last more than 20 minutes, with 2K promising ” exclusive insights and deep dives across new features and innovations”.

Players attending Gamescom on August 21-25 will then be able to see the game in action at the official Civilization VII booth in Hall 6.

The seventh game in the Civilization series was officially announced in June during the Summer Game Fest showcase.

Civilization VII will be released in 2025, and will be released on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PS4 and Xbox One.
